: (1) In order to properly check commercial measures and weights or measuring and weighing instruments brought into commercial use, the Government of Nepal may order to make as many certified sets of measures and weights as it deems necessary and special executive measures and weights sets for precious metals and gems. . Those sets will be called executive standards.
(2) The executive standard shall be of the prescribed substance, design and description and shall be verified and stamped by the designated person or officer in the prescribed manner and shall be kept as prescribed in the place prescribed by the controller and shall be checked with the secondary standard within each period as prescribed and a copy shall be affixed with the date of such examination. However, a set of special executive standards relating to precious metals and jewelery will be examined with the principal standards.
(3) According to sub-section (2) the executive standard which is not checked and stamped within the deadline shall not be legally recognized and shall not be used for the purpose of this Act.
